Configure Drivel for WordPress on Ubuntu

Drivel is handy for quick posts to your WordPress blog from your system. You can also write offline and post later. It is not very feature-packed but works well as a simple blogging client. Developed for the Gnome environment. Available in synaptic.

To connect to your WordPress account use the following settings:

Journal type: Movable Type
Server address: myblog.wordpress.com/xmlrpc.php

Found a decent application to publish articles on WordPress from the Ubuntu desktop: gnome-blog. Not too feature-rich but OK for quick posts. Available in Synaptic Package Manager.

To install on Ubuntu:
