California is a great looking calendar app from Yorba, the developers of Geary Mail. Version 0.2 was announced yesterday. It adds a lot of new features and works with Gnome 3. Adding an event is easier than before with the new release. Check out examples of the syntax here. New features include:
- Month and Week views of events
- Add and remove Google, CalDAV, and webcal (.ics) calendars
- Integrates with Evolution Data Server, so your existing Evolution calendars are automatically available
- Add, view, edit, and remove events (including recurring events)
- A natural-language Quick Add parser for easily adding events: just type in the information and California schedules the event(s)
- F1 online help (thanks Jim Campbell!)
- Smooth animations and popovers for viewing information effortlessly
The latest version is available only for Ubuntu 14.10 (Utopic Unicorn) at the time of writing. To install, run the following:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/ppa $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install california
